The review should also reflect your own independent analysis of your sources. Feel free to criticize studies you think are lacking in some way. These criticisms can form the basis of your own proposed contribution with your own research.
A successful literature review should be organized thematically, not by source. It should not read “This study said…” and then “That study said.” Instead, the structure should be organized around statements like “Some studies emphasize the importance of x factor…” and “But other studies emphasize a different set of factors.”
