Una receta especial – A special recipe
Objective: Now that you have a ½ of a year of Spanish 3, it’s time to show off what you know, and cook up a special meal. To incorporate the vocabulary and grammar you have learned throughout the year, you will need to select a traditional Hispanic meal and write or film yourself narrating the directions. Let’s just say that, this is your own cooking channel on YouTube! You will complete a written or spoken assignment of your choice.

Pick ONE of the following recipes as your Hispanic meal to describe:
empanadas chilenas
sandwich cubano
torta tres leches
ropa vieja
arroz con leche
arepas

Requirements
Option A: Chose ONE of these programs – PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slide – and create a presentation
it must be 4-6 slides, each with a picture
If you do more than 6 slides, ONLY the first 6 slides will be graded.
you must have a total of 10-15 sentences
remember your sentences must correspond to the pictures/slides you share of the steps required to execute your recipe
— OR —
Option B: Choose ONE of these – selfie video, Vocaroo or Loom – and make an audio/visual presentation.
presentation should be between 1.5-2 minutes
anything above 2.5 minutes will be returned to you
your oral presentation should have a total of 10-15 sentences
you can just read your sentences (but practice first!) Fluency and pronunciation will be taken into consideration when being graded.

For either option: Remember to watch your grammar and tense in your sentences. Remember that a sentence must have at least have a subject and verb. Remember to properly conjugate your verb and that subjects and verbs must agree. Finally, it must be completely done in complete sentences in Spanish. Accent marks, tildes, and any upside down question marks or exclamation points also count towards your score.

You MUST use vocabulary from the course and text to show me that you learned and mastered the material. I am assessing you & your skill level, not the skill level of a translator/dictionary. Use the KISS method: Keep It Simple, Sweetie!
