What is the purpose of this activity? The purpose of this activity is to provide an opportunity for students to discuss biology topics that might be of interests to them, or that are currently in the news.
In your response, you can include links to a web or newspaper article, a magazine or a video that you find interesting and that is currently a topic of discussion. The news item must have some biological importance or implication. Environmental issues, epidemics or vaccines being developed are always good sources of discussion topics. Keep it PG!!!!

Background Why should we care? Why did it interest you? How does it relate to labs we have done in class?
