How many articles did you find on your topics? Is there a wealth of knowledge? Are there support groups, Foundations and/or local awareness campaigns? It is heavily or under researched (a lot of high quality information)? Are there many clinical programs or trials? What do the clinical trials focus on (ie.e alleviating symptoms, palliative care, gene therapies, transcriptional targets)? How did you choose the paper your are presenting, analyzing and summarizing for your classmates?
Results: Present the findings of your article or outcome a clinical trial? (Yes, your article could be the results of a recent clinical trial with published outcome data)?
Discussion: Discuss the findings of your article/trial. Depending on your choice of article, the discussion of your paper could be to address clinical manifestations, the signs, symptoms and how is it diagnosed. What are the current treatment options and if there are there any clinical trials (past/present). What is the family/life burden? Is there any support (local/regional advocacy groups)? If you choose to present an outcome of a clinical trials present the results and include information as noted above to discuss your trial (i.e. where does this new therapy fit into the landscape of other approved therapies? Did the outcome from the trial lead to FDA approval?).
