This week’s discussion asks that you choose a work from the ancient Middle East and/or Egypt and write a brief formal analysis (using art elements and principles of design) and discuss the narrative and purpose of the work (what story does it tell). Also, consider why you chose this piece? You must use your own words in your response, no cut/paste. In addition, please insert or embed an image of the work discussed. Be sure to include the following identifying information: artist (if known), title of the work, dates of the work, and current location of the work. The location for an artwork is always either a museum, gallery, private collection, or if it’s tied to the land (like a work of architecture), the city and state. Lastly, please respond to a minimum of two peers. DO NOT POST ANY ATTACHMENTS TO THE DISCUSSION BOARD.
