For a real-world story about Scope and its nemesis Scope Creep, we will explore the project management flaws of the Wasa, a Swedish war ship built in the early 1600’s which quickly sank. After 333 years it was lifted from the ocean floor in 1961 and is now undergoing conservation at the Wasa Museum. Watch the animated video about the Wasa (or Vasa depending on your language) and keep in mind that this story from the 1600’s could just as easily be written about a number of modern projects.
