Willard Women and Temperance, Charlotte Gillman Women and Economics, Margaret Sanger on Free Motherhood, Elsie Hill and Florence Kelley Debate the Equal Rights Amendment, Norman Cousins “Will Women Lose Their Jobs?”, The National Organization for Women, Brochure on the Equal Rights Amendment, and Phyllis Schlafly “The Fraud of the Equal Rights Amendment”.
Write a short essay (1000-1500 words) that examines what these documents reveal about women’s lives, political activities, and overall roles in U.S. society in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
