Activity Instructions The course project is the culmination of your assignments in the previous units. In this final assignment, you will have the opportunity to synthesize and expand on the key learning points from the course, as well as your own research, to create a plan for senior leadership on how to begin solving the issue or problem you identified in Unit 2. Your course project will consist of two distinct parts: A 12–15 slide PowerPoint presentation for senior leadership in which you describe your plan for beginning to address the organizational issue or problem you identified in Unit 2. A 7–9 page research paper in which you provide the rationale for each method you included in your plan for senior leadership. Part 1: PowerPoint Presentation – Plan for Senior Leadership Create a PowerPoint presentation for senior leadership‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ in which you describe your plan to begin addressing the issue or problem you identified in Step 1. Your presentation should include: The issue or problem you are addressing, as well as its setting within the organization. The methods you recommend for collecting information, data, and insights from diverse perspectives, about the specific issue or problem you selected. Practical methods and strategies that can be used to analyze the information, data, and perspectives collected, to help assure a non-biased, in-depth, realistic, and holistic understanding of the issue. This should include: At least one statistical thinking method or tool. Thinking methods that can aid leadership in solving this issue or problem, including systems thinking, critical thinking, reflective thinking, and creative thinking. Methods for knowledge sharing that may help leadership address this issue or problem. Methods for increasing innovation to help address the issue or problem. Your recommendations for steps leadership can take to begin to address this issue or problem. Examples of recommendations: Form a task team to identify long solutions, collect additional data from throughout the organization to supplement or validate your recommendations, perform a cost-benefit analysis, complete a feasibility study, or utilize benchmarking.)
