develop one or more of the skills covered in this course.
1. Drawing on concepts from Units 1 to 7, analyse two incidents or episodes in the coaching sessions and
your effectiveness as a coach and process facilitator.
(a) Analyse an incident or episode in which you believe that what you did as a coach and process
facilitator was effective, using course concepts to analyse what you did, your thinking behind what you
did, and how and why what you did was effective.
(b) Analyse an incident or episode in which you believe that you could have been more effective as a
coach and process facilitator, using course concepts to analyse:
how and why what you did was not fully effective
what you might have done differently and the expected effects on the coachee and the coaching
process.

2. Drawing on concepts from Units 1 to 7, outline one lesson about process facilitation that you learned
from the coaching and how you can apply it when you use process facilitation in your work as a change
agent.
Based on your analysis and evaluation of your use of process facilitation skills in the two coaching
sessions:
identify one lesson that you learned about process facilitation that you could apply when using process
facilitation – with either individuals or groups – in your work as a change agent
explain the relevance of this lesson to your work as a change agent and how implementing the lesson
would enhance your effectiveness
describe specific steps that you will take to implement the lesson in your work
identify possible obstacles that you might face in implementing these steps and describe how you will
deal with them
outline how you will monitor and evaluate your progress in implementing this plan.
