I chose Kara’s work because I was intrigued by her use of shape and the contrast of the all black shadow work in her art. I think it gives a very dark and somewhat edgy feel to some of her work. Her work screams out at you when you look at it, almost making you feel as though you shouldn’t look, but can’t take your eyes off it. The forms and shapes in her art are so aggressive and bold. I enjoyed looking through her work because it gives a perspective you don’t see as often with how soft people have become or how easily offended others are.
