In this
group assignment, you will design and record a presentation that discusses
different types of disease-causing microbes. For this assignment your group will create
a short (3-5 minutes) presentation that explains how to identify a series of
disease-causing microbes (you will choose one of each type from
the list below). Record your presentation using the video/screen capture tool
in YuJa or another platform. Then post it to the Module 2 Individual
Assignment Discussion to share with other students as a resource. See
the instructions posted in the assignment description in D2L for details on how
to record your presentation. You will also complete a peer review individually
as a reply to one other student’s presentation.
The directions say to
pick a microbe of each type. The microbes list has 4 types, bacteria,
eukaryote, fungi, and virus. You will pick one microbe from each of these
4 categories and follow the directions under, “Your presentation must include:” This
will be recorded on YuJa and posted to the Assignments and to the Discussion
for the Module 2 Peer Review. Each person needs to post the entire
combined presentation to the Assignments, but only one person should post this
assignment to the discussion for peer review. Each person will then peer review
the group listed in the email I sent, so make sure you write down your group
number when posting to the discussion.
Your presentation must include:
1. At least five sources cited in APA format
(turn in on a separate Word Document).
2. A 3-5 minute video covering the microscopy
of each microbe.
3. An image for each microbe.
4. A short introduction to each microbe.
5. At least one relevant microscopy tip.
6. Notes from your presentation that include
citations.
