Please write on a topic relevant to YOU with a focus on clinical psychology and behavioral medicine. I do not want to read papers defining a disorder or telling me diagnostic criteria from the text. I expect to read papers with personal insight and true effort at reflection which is a synthesis of all you know at this point of your professional training and personal life experiences!

Take the time to stop and be present & then write your paper. This is the moment you think and feel your response.
Possible paper topic ideas: Suggestion & hypnosis, families, children/adolescence, geriatrics, cross-cultural communication, women’s or men’s health, LGBTQ+ patients (can choose to focus or be broad), HIV/AIDS, etc. YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY TOPIC not listed here that you would like to explore and that has relevance to YOU! This should be a paper written originally from the heart and have minimal “Turnitin” comparisons! Any Turnitin In comparisons should be properly referenced; if you do cite references it should not exceed 10% of your reflection paper.
Paper requirements: Double-spaced, Times New Roman or Arial font. Submit as a doc.x Generally 4-7 pages is a reasonable minimum length. Keep a copy for your records. Submit to the D2L drop box with only your name initials identifying who you are. All papers will be scanned by “TURNIT IN” a plagiarism screen site (please see agreement below). Papers will be assessed for grammar, spelling, organization, originality, and depth of concepts. Do not rewrite from the text or from websites, these are resources only.
Papers will be graded on a 30-point total as follows:
-15 points – Completion of the task, grammar, spelling, format, organization
– 15 points – Originality, reflection content or expression rationality of discussion, logical progression of concepts determined as follows:
11-15pts = clear and logical statements; explanation and/or examples provided to support ideas; demonstrates significant insight and reflection on the topic. Demonstrates high level of synthesis of ideas.
6-10pts = clear statements with appropriate explanations or examples; some insights but without significant synthesis of statements written
1- 5pts = statements with minimal explanation or examples / “book report” about a topic. Unclear statements or incongruent explanations or examples; Confusing, lacks explanation of reasoning; random nonsensical writing “read aloud to others test”.Shape1
Loss of points: You lose 2 points if you do not double-space your document or submit as instructed for Turn-It In comparisons! Lose 5 points for every 24 hours late to the deadline.
