Your thesis should respond to one of the prompts below and be supported by specific examples from the play text. Your argument should develop from your analysis of your chosen scene and should NOT reference any other material, including outside resources.
The Prompt:
– What does I,Worker say about the integration of robots into human lives, and how does it portray this commentary? Choose ONE scene from the play and analyze it to identify I, Worker’s commentary and show how the play makes it. Does the play see the issue of robots being incorporated into human lives as a positive phenomenon? Negative? Or does the play maintain a neutral position? And how does the play say it? Through the characters’ relationship? Through the plot? Through the imageries that are setting the scene?
From the prompt, you must: (a) clearly state your thesis (your response to the prompt) in your introductory paragraph; (b) choose ONE particular scene from the play of your choice to back up your thesis. Essays will be evaluated for argumentation, organization, and style (see grading rubric that I’ve attached). Parameters: ● 3 FULL pages, double-spaced; 12-point font, 1-inch margins ● Use MLA guidelines for in-text citations; do NOT include a bibliography as the only source you will use is the play ● Quotes and supporting evidence should be properly cited from the play, and type of evidence used should correspond to the prompt.
