The scenario: In her spare time, your anthropology professor has invented a time machine which can transport people back to either (a) a well established hunter-gatherer society, or (b) a well-developed, but early (i.e. non-intensive forms of production), agricultural society. (Note: we are presuming transport of several thousand years back, not to a modern-day hunting-gathering or food-producing society.)
She has hired you to market one of the two trips, either (a) or (b); and to go along with the time-travelers as a tour guide.
The assignment: In approximately two pages (500 words, more or less), describe [1] which of the two options you would choose, and why; and then [2] describe how you would persuade others to pay good money to join you on this journey. Please be sure to do the following:
Assume that you and your tour group cannot take any modern technology with you; e.g., you can’t take along a rifle that would kill big game better than a spear.
Take into account what you have read about the presumed advantages and disadvantages of each of these ways of life.
