Think of an app or product you would like to create that can help solve a problem or increase efficiency in a specific business industry. What is the app or product, why is there a need for it, and how will you build it? You will deliver the information in three parts:
Page One:
In MS Word, write up a business plan for creation of the app or product that includes the following:
•App/Product Name
•Description of a standard problem or a need for the app/product (In other words, why is your invention needed? What is the problem that it solves?)
•Description of how your product/app will work
•Description of three companies that you have researched that can build the prototype and take the app/product to fruition.
•Compare and contrast all three companies and choose which is better. Be sure to provide an analysis of your decision.
•A timeline to bring the app/product to fruition. Include all foreseen challenges and obstacles
Your target market and strategies for outreach
*Be sure to include major headings for these six points with relevant explanation and details afterwards.
Page Two:
An Excel Document that shows all costs for the development of your product. You should be comparing at least three different options for each category.
Categories include but are not limited to:
Price for website development
Price for promotional videos and or advertisements
Price to develop the product
Price for shipment if necessary
Manufacturing quotes if necessary
*You may include any other cost comparison in your Excel Sheet.
